At 1jump, LLC (“1jump,” “we,” or “us”), we recognize that you entrust us with your personal reflections, goals, and habits. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information—meaning information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you or your household—when you use our website, app, and AI coaching tools (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, and phone number provided during registration.
- User Content: Goals, habit logs (including spending or saving behaviors), journal entries, and the full text of your interactions with our AI coaching tools.
- Usage Data: Standard technical and usage data, including IP address, device type, browser type, and information on how you interact with the Service (e.g., features used, time spent in the Service).
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data primarily to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, as well as for security, legal compliance, and operational purposes. This includes:
- Personalization: Using your history to provide relevant AI coaching and insights.
- Service Operations: Authenticating your account and sending necessary notifications.
- Analytics: We may use de-identified or aggregated data to analyze usage and improve the Service. This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of the Service.
We do not sell your personal data or your private journal entries to third parties. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Confidentiality and AI Processing
- Not Medical/Clinical Confidentiality: While we take your privacy seriously, 1jump is not a healthcare provider. Information shared through the Service is not protected by medical or therapist-client confidentiality laws (such as HIPAA) and is not a substitute for professional care.
- AI Processing: To provide AI coaching, the contents of your AI Coach conversations are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI acts as a service provider (data processor) and, under the OpenAI API terms in effect at the time of processing, does not use data submitted via the API to train its models or retain it beyond what is necessary to deliver the response. We may also use other AI providers (such as Anthropic) for specific features in the future, on equivalent processor terms. You should use discretion when sharing highly sensitive personal information, as content is processed by AI systems.
4. Data Security & Access
Your data is sensitive, and we implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest.
- Limited Access: We do not monitor user entries in real time or review content as part of routine operations. Access to user data by 1jump personnel is strictly limited and occurs only when necessary for customer support, technical troubleshooting, abuse review, or service improvement.
- Third-Party Providers: We use secure partners for infrastructure, including: Telnyx for SMS notifications (the contents of any SMS we send to your phone number, plus delivery status), Postmark for transactional email, OpenAI for AI Coach processing (see Section 3), Sentry for error and crash reporting (technical diagnostic data and stack traces), and a cloud hosting provider for our backend servers and database. These partners act as service providers (processors) and access data only as necessary to perform their functions on behalf of 1jump, in accordance with their privacy and security obligations.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Retention: We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required for legal, security, or operational purposes.
- Deletion Rights: You have the right to request that we delete your personal information. You may request full account and data deletion by contacting support@1jump.ai. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling such requests. We process verified requests within 30 days. Note that deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period before being fully removed.
6. Age Requirements
1jump is strictly intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data immediately.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to Know what personal information we collect.
- Right to Access a copy of your personal information (Data Portability).
- Right to Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Request Deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under California law.
- Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
